Today is the day.

Where is the place where the United States flag is never lowered? Where it is not lowered no matter day or night. Do you know where this flag is?

The Moon. 40 years ago today is the day it was put up on the Moon. 40 years ago today we landed on the moon and we, the United States place the Stars and Stripes on the lunar surface. Appolo 11 facts

How old were you?

There are many theories that state that the Lunar landing was a Hollywood type production. That politics prevailed in making the US public feel good and confident with it's leadership and itself.

Do you believe that we landed on the moon?
Most American's are very opinionated of this happening. We as a people stand strong in our beliefs of this great event. This is the day that Neil Armstrong did step on the Moon and said those famous words:“That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

But,have you ever seen the actual flag up on the Moon? Did you see the Lunar Module land? Do you know for sure that it really happened?

My questions are not to say I think this was a Hoax, but to ask this question...

Do you believe in Jesus?

You most likely can see in your minds eye, even in your heart you KNOW that we landed on the Moon!

But do you have that same conviction that Jesus Christ walked this Earth? Do you know in your mind and heart that this is true? Do you believe that it is possible for man to develop a rocket...sit on the tip of it and be shot to the Moon and not that God was able to make Himself of a human form to walk the Earth with His most prized creations?

Here is the account of Jesus by the Historian of the day of Christ, this would be the same as if we watched the news with Walter Cronkite.

Josephus: book 18 chapter 3 Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man; for he was a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews and many of the Gentiles. He was the Christ. I ask this of you...search you mind and heart to see if you have a real knowledge of Him. (John 6:29)The One that He sent, Jesus the Christ sent from the Father. Do you know with all certainty that He was here, that He was raised from death and He is with the Father? He is interceding for you and I, yes that is right, you and I. That is as long as we accept His gift and follow Him.

I suggest that you start by praying to God. To ask for Him to come into your heart, that you believe that Jesus came to restore you to God, that He died for your sins and was raised from the dead. That He is sitting at God's right hand interceding for you and that you want Him, Christ Jesus to be your Lord, to follow Him the rest of your days.

As the flag stands on the Moon, Jesus hung for you and me. May you look to the cross today as the flag that stood and stands between you and God, not in separation but as restoration to Him. John 3:16-18 May you have the Love of Christ in you. Amen.
